Industries · Funeral Directors
Central Systems designs and builds websites for funeral directors, and the systems behind them. A modern funeral home website can set out services and prices clearly, take a structured enquiry, let a family work out an indicative cost, and pass all of it into your back office instead of into an inbox.
The problem
Not because they look dated. Because they were built as brochures, and a brochure cannot take an enquiry, answer a practical question at midnight, or tell your office anything.
What it can do
Pick a capability to see it working. Very few firms need all of this — it is chosen around how you arrange funerals, not sold as a package.
Most funeral websites bury the practical detail. Service options, what is included, what happens first, and the price list all belong where someone can find them without ringing you — including the Standardised Price List you are already required to publish.
A planning tool that totals your own published prices, and keeps your charges separate from the fees you pay out on the family's behalf — because those are two different things and the second is not yours.
Some families will ring. Others will not, especially at two in the morning. A structured enquiry captures what you need to respond properly, and a callback request costs nothing to offer.
Where it suits how you work, families can request an arrangement visit or an appointment directly, at home or at the funeral home, rather than exchanging messages to find a time.
Where the website is connected to the back office, an enquiry arrives as a record rather than an email — with the services chosen, the indicative figure shown and the contact details already attached.
Multi-branch firms are poorly served by most website templates. Each location needs its own presence, its own contact route and its own place in search — without duplicating the whole site.
The join
This is the part most funeral website projects leave out. The website is the public-facing end of a business system, not a separate thing that happens to sit on the internet.
Where that back office is Berevia, the hand-off is direct. Where you already run something you are happy with, the same enquiry can be routed into it — see Business Automation and CRM Systems.
BereviaFuneral management software for independent funeral directorsOur own product
Funeral management software for independent funeral directors, built around how the work actually runs rather than a general-purpose CRM with the labels changed. Nine places to be, and the paperwork, the diary and the account all hang off the arrangement.
What is happening now, and what is waiting on something else
Every live funeral, with the day, the paperwork and the account attached
Who is with you, where, for how long, and whether identification is confirmed
Services, visits and collections in one view
Website enquiries as records — convertible into an arrangement
The business: what is owed, by age, and funerals held by month
Your charges and what you paid out, never mixed together
What is held, how long it has been held, and who is coming for it
Pre-need plans taken out and not yet redeemed
If your website already does what you need, Berevia can run independently alongside it as a standalone product at £120 per month.
Combine Berevia with a new website, enquiry tools, a cost tool, automation and integrations — and receive package-client pricing on Berevia.
Why us, specifically
Most agencies meeting a funeral director start from scratch, and you end up paying to teach them. These are things we already had to get right in order to build the software, so they are not a discovery exercise on your project.
Everything below is modelled on Scottish practice. A firm in England, Wales or Northern Ireland follows a different documentary route, and we would configure to it rather than pretend the two are the same.
Including the burial route, what unlocks what, and what happens when something upstream changes after the fact.
Already have a website?
Your current website may not need replacing because it is old. It may need replacing because it no longer supports how the business operates.
Plenty of funeral homes have a site that looks perfectly respectable and still cannot take a structured enquiry, publish a price list as readable text, or tell the office anything. That is not an appearance problem, and a new coat of paint will not fix it.
Where the foundations are sound and the shortfall is capability, a website redesign is usually faster and cheaper than starting again — and keeps the search visibility you have already built. Where the structure itself is the obstacle, a fresh website design build is the honest answer. We will tell you which before anyone quotes.
The site works, looks acceptable and ranks. What it cannot do is take part in the business.
The site fights you. Every addition breaks something, and nothing connects to the office.

Funeral directors get the deepest build we do, because the work needed it. The same thinking applies to every industry below.
Tell us how you arrange funerals, where enquiries reach you now, and what your office is re-typing by hand. We will tell you honestly what is worth building and what is not.
